Hello and Goodbye?!

Hello you guys!
So today I had the great pleasure of checking my status and I still can't quite believe how many international readers I have and I would really like to thank you all 'cause without you I wouldn't have that pleasure so thank you. I also want to say sorry for not posting regularly! I think about you guys a lot but I have no excuse for not posting.

Anyway away from the starter-ry bits, I think I'm going to be starting a new blog?! So excited- got big plans for this! It's going to be a writing blog- stories told online one chapter at a time. I love to write and I would love for you guys to see this!

As well as this, I'm thinking of scrapping The Cute Hook and starting all over again. I would love to venture outside of just craft and be a bit more lifestyle-y (wow, way to prove you can write!) because I'm finding it really hard to come out with content I really love and would read myself. Of course, this blog will still be live, I would just not post on it.

So, what do you think? I know my content has been really bad recently, not to mention irregular- I think this might change this! Please tell me any thoughts or ideas in the comments down below, maybe some new name ideas?

Nail art #2!

Hello everyone!
You might remember my last nail art post and I would just like to show you what I've been doing recently. For this design (from what I can remember) I got inspired by this amazing channel to do the mini heart on the ring and index finger and then the rest of it were, you know, lines I guess!

Then today I did a more bold and simplistic design- on the pinky I, um, messed up but I think it looks like a bow so that was good! Also on the ring finger I did a single vertical line.

Hope you enjoyed!

Updates and a possible change......

Hello everyone!
As always I am sorry for not posting in AGES! At the moment, I'm not that into crochet. (SHOCK HORROR) I know, I know, but I think it might be best to shake this blog up a little bit.... something a little bit different each time you look on here to keep you interested. I have the Mollie Makes Blogging book-a-zine (a book and magazine crossover) and so I really got into the blog A Beautiful Mess and in the mag a main tip of Elsie's is to "create a blog you'd enjoy reading" and, at the moment, I don't think just crochet would make me read this blog. Of course I would update you on projects and I will continue to crochet however I just don't know how much more I can write about crochet, especially if I'm not doing it that much any more.

I absolutely love writing stories, listening to music and doing other things like that too so maybe you guys would like to see that. Please let me know but if no-one does I think I'm just going to go ahead and see what happens!

It will look better with all the horns, the body, the cheeks and everything but yeah! I need to get a move on though!

I have also got some jewellery supplies from a cheeky Hobbycraft shop so I will hopefully be doing something regarding that soon!

That's all but I do want to say a thank you like so many bloggers/vloggers do just because I have had 884 page views!!!!!!!! It isn't that much in reality but it it load for me so thank-you....... I've even had page views from Saudi Arabia...........it's mind-blowing so thank you!

The Missing Crochet and Lily's Sugar 'n Cream Yarn Review

Hey!!
So, it was last Sunday, and I couldn't find my amigurumi anywhere! I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it anywhere!!!! To this day I still haven't found it! So anyway I really luckily got new yarn to restart my amigurumi dragon and I chose Lily's Sugar 'n Cream The Original in Robin's Egg. It is the most beautiful colour and it works up like a dream! It doesn't split easily at all and it is 100% cotton so it is really soft! Here is a pic:

Just thought I would mention that I did use the app Photo Editor- by Axiem Systems to edit this photo. Anyway, have a good rest of the day and keep checking my blog as I will be posting a What's in my sketchbook? post soon!

Just updates......

Hello!
I do want to say a quick sorry for not posting in ages! Before the anniversary post I hadn't posted in ages so I'm sorry! But I have been getting creative........

I've started a new project! Obviously I haven't yet finished my blanket but I wanted a change from just crocheting granny squares! I decided to finally try amigurumi (yes, you heard it right) and I really like it. It isn't all that different: all you have to remember is not to chain at the beginning of a row and you are all set! The pattern I am using is from All About Ami and here is a picture of her finished dragon that I found on her blog and am making thanks to her great pattern!

He is so cute! You can find the free pattern here. I am making him with a 3.5 mm hook because my yarn is thicker than what is suggested. I will keep on updating you on how it is going!

My First Blog Anniversary!!!!!!!

Hello!
This is such a big day for me!This is the same day I posted my very first post last year on my old blog, http://libbywhittingham.blog.com! Here is where I have come from that day!

The day I started my blog on blog.com I had NO IDEA what I was doing! I fast got used to it, and started playing around with the design of my blog. I was getting quite bored with the limits of blog.com though... I couldn't customise my design, only use templates, and I really wanted to find out how many of you guys had visited my blog and which kind of posts work. I had a look at a few options and decided to move to blogger! I have almost spent 11 months on blogger now, and I have had over 700 page views! That means a LOT to me so thank you guys!!!!! I know you've got a lot (hopefully) of good times to come!

Apologies, Craft Resolutions and general updates

Hello!
I am really sorry for not posing in such a long time! I have been so tired and quite busy lately but anyway I hope you all have had an amazing start to the year and happy new year: I forgot to say that during the 12 days of Craftmas!

So far this year I have been really inspired by the latest edition of Mollie Makes(issue 49) to make some craft resolutions so here they are:

1. To learn amigurumi
2. To make a piece of jewellery from scratch(I mean one that isn't from those little wooden bead craft sets)
3. To finish my granny square blanket
4. To crochet more often!!!!!!!

So for some craft updates I have got 4 of the purple granny squares now so that is coming along!
